Spring Forward

I can’t help feeling a bit guilty about our sunny weather while watching winter snowstorms wallop much of the country night after night. Of course, we have our own reverse weather crisis – a drought of historic proportions that is worsening with every rainless day.

With this in mind, we offer our cover feature this month on Natural Bridges Landscaping, a 30-year-old Los Gatos company that designs residential yards as an outdoor refuge while incorporating drought-tolerant plants and sustainable amenities.

March also brings the annual Los Gatos Ballet Foundation fundraiser, being held this year at Black Ridge Vineyards for the first time. We think you’ll like the story behind this perfect pairing – of two organizations and two people.

Also this month we introduce our new travel writing team of Don and Ann Jackson, who take us to Big Sur for a getaway of luxurious lodging and dining, hiking, exploring and some of the most scenic coastline anywhere on the planet.

Finally, check out the upcoming Pinot Paradise and Passport events in Through the Grapevine, and test your allergy IQ in a special Health and Beauty quiz.
